Abstract Submission Guidelines

Format for Abstract of the Paper / Poster Presentation

  • Use Word format and Times New Roman letters.
  • Title in all capitals and text in single spacing with font size 12 for both.
  • Should contain less than 300 words.
  • The abstract must contain AIMS & OBJECTIVES, METHODS, RESULTS & CONCLUSION.
  • Comments like “Results will be discussed” will not be accepted.
Important Note

All single case reports will be included in Poster Category only.

General Instructions

  • Last date for receipt of abstract is 31st July 2026.
  • The presenting author should be a member of ASI (with membership number / acknowledgement receipt). Fake membership numbers or wrong details will lead to automatic rejection without intimation.
  • Not more than 2 presentations (paper/poster) will be accepted from the same presenter.
  • Scientific Committee reserves the right to assign the paper to any session it deems fit.
  • Proof of Registration of the presenter in APASICON 2026 is mandatory.
  • There should be a covering letter with declaration by the presenter that the work is carried out by him / her and team if any and has not been presented or published earlier.
  • Covering letter should mention the category in which the presenter wishes the paper to be included along with ASI Membership Number.
  • Post-graduates submitting abstracts should upload a certifying letter from their respective HOD addressed to the Organizing Secretary.
  • The abstract, covering letter, proof of registration, HOD letter, and proof of age for competitive categories must be submitted on the website.
  • Submit only abstracts on the website. Final presentations should NOT be uploaded.
  • Delegates submitting paper presentations should clearly mention the category:

    1) Free Paper Presentation
    2) Dr. Vyaghreswarudu Best Paper
    3) Dr. Lakshman Prasad Best PG Award Paper
  • Delegates willing to submit for award papers should also provide willingness for inclusion in free paper presentation if not selected for award category.

General Rules

  • After successful submission, Abstract Submission ID will be provided.
  • Only papers received with full specifications will be considered.
  • Selection committee has the right to shift the paper into any category based on merit and decision shall be final.
  • Once selection process is completed, presenters of accepted papers will be informed regarding category, format, rules, session and presentation slot.

Eligibility Criteria

Dr. Lakshman Prasad Best PG Award Paper Open only to bonafide General Surgery PG students studying in AP State with ASI Membership.
Dr. Vyaghreswarudu Best Paper Open to ASI members below 40 years belonging to AP State only.
